Painting 'Juliet', I began to think about why and are women ashamed of fulfilling their traditional female expectations. An angle I want to look at is: how do we feel when a man gets rid of his expectations and how, as women, do we view him? From the 'masculism' series, I wanted to take a spin on the feminist movement of burning bras, and instead use a suit -a symbol of power- to comment on how a man is viewed when his masculinity is 'burnt' away. Are we attracted or deterred?

After a year of working with very strong imagery, I am now aiming to explore women's expectations using much more subtle imagery by aiming to create a stronger and somehow disturbing explorations into the roles of a modern women.
Using this as a starting point, i am coming back to Barcelona for another year to really delve further into what it is I am really trying to say.
